Jousting!
I suppose eventually they’ll have to visit the community lot I spent ages building..
Started so nicely, raising the kids, teaching fishing to Harvey and basking in Owen who learned to crawl. Then Owen became ill and died. Several hours later Matilda, quite the cook, set a huge fire and was consumed. I’m thinking the fire was no accident. It was nice before that.
I had to redo the Royal Courtyard exterior because it was too sloped so going there resulted in a lot of arm waving and irritation. It was just a shell that needed some incentive so I added some entertainment, trying to stay as relevant as I can without leaving the place empty.
The Baron Abraham and Baroness Adella lost a baby girl this turn, it was pretty depressing. The Baron had two breakdowns in a row and both wanted to buy tons of nursery furniture, never saw a reaction like that. Before the turn was through Adella had a healthy son, so it didn’t end as ugly as it started.
Playing a historic-based hood while pregnant is dangerous, I cried last night when I had to kill off a sim -.- Gameplay shots to come!
I also downloaded this age modifier from Simlogical so I won’t have to micromanage my sims QUITE as much. That combined with the pregnancy hack (18 hours pregnancies) gives me more time to focus on my seventeen thousand other rules- though I could not get it to work for infants since I have them age to toddler at 22 hours and SIMPE isn’t recognizing 0 as a value. I also upped the mortality impact of bad aspirations and reduced the least amount of days a sim Elder could live, though I left the cap alone. I figure the impact of 5-10 sim days being buzzed off for a bad aspiration should be enough. Am I the only one who tries to reduce the length of my sims lives haha? It isn’t because I’m morbid, just I don’t get much time to play and I like the life progression so I’ve forced it to fit how busy I am.
Josiah’s wife Matilda had their son. She also has an older boy from her first marriage, Harvey, who helps with the fishing but I didn’t take any pictures of him.
Josiah’s Vessel. I made it swimmable which means I had to create a very awful rowboat next to a lake in the middle so that he could go off to fish. I’m trying to think of how to make it look nicer, I think I’ll add water to the bordering lots and foliage to block the rest of the land. As for the rowboat, that’s a work in progress!
